Meanwhile, the City of Kenosha in Wisconsin purchased the Toledo franchise in 1924 and played one season in the league. After the team lost games to the Yellow Jackets, Badgers, Kelleys and Buffalo Bisons and finishing sixteenth without winning again, local sports journalists criticized the Maroons for its inferior performances and low attendances while playing at home in Nash Field.
